ULTRASOUND

Interested in an exciting, high paying career as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer? This is a fascinating career which uses sound waves to create images of the human body for diagnostic purposes. You can complete your training in as little 1 year.  The Ultrasound Program is designed to meet your busy schedule with plenty of flexibility and alternate schedules to choose from. With a full time, day program and a part time, evening program, there is plenty of flexibility to meet your scheduling needs.

  • The day program is approximately 12 months (plus internship).  Classes are Monday – Friday, from 8 am to 2 pm.
  • The evening program is approximately 18 months (plus internship).  Classes are Monday – Thursday, from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics this position is expected to grow 44% from 2010 to 2020 with an average annual income exceeding $64,000.

  • Anatomy, Physiology and Terminology
  • Abdomen
  • Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Vascular
  • Physics and Instrumentation

You will also complete your externship in a health care environment.  Upon completion of the program, students will be able to work in hospitals, imaging centers, doctor offices, private businesses, etc.
